1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. They let the website remember, for example, what you put in your cart or which language you chose. Cookies do not contain programs and cannot access other files on your device.
We also use similar technologies, for example the browser’s local storage and the measurement pixels of advertising platforms. In this policy, “cookies” means all of these technologies.
2. Types of cookies
- By how long they last: session cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while persistent cookies stay until they expire or until you delete them.
- By who sets them: first-party cookies are set by hqlashes.com and the Shopify platform, while third-party cookies are set by providers such as Google, Meta or TikTok.
- By purpose: strictly necessary, functional, statistics and marketing. The full list is in section 4.
3. How you give and change your consent
On your first visit we show you a banner where you can accept all cookies, reject the ones that are not necessary or choose by category. Strictly necessary cookies work without consent, because the store cannot work without them. The functional cookie in section 4.2 is a session cookie and is deleted when you close your browser. We only use statistics and marketing cookies after you agree.

4.5 Other technologies
- Browser notifications (Brevo PushOwl): they only appear if you allow them in your browser, and you can turn them off at any time in its settings.
- Reviews (Judge.me) and the WhatsApp button (CartHike): they load on our pages so you can read reviews and message us directly on WhatsApp.

5. How to manage cookies in your browser

If you reject marketing cookies, you will still see ads online, but they will no longer take your visit to our website into account. You can also control personalised ads in the platforms’ settings:
- Facebook and Instagram: in your account settings, under “Ad preferences”;
- Google: in My Ad Center;
- TikTok: in the app, under Settings and privacy, “Ads”.
